FableGrove is a reading app with thirty illustrated stories about birds. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the FableGrove app for iPhone and this website. The short version: the app does not collect, transmit or sell any personal data.
1Information we collect
None. FableGrove has no sign-up, no login, no advertising, no analytics or tracking tools and no third-party SDKs. The app does not ask for access to your contacts, photos, location, camera, microphone or any other protected information, and it does not use the advertising identifier.
2What the app keeps on your device
To remember your reading, FableGrove saves a small reading journal in the app's private storage on your iPhone. It contains:
- the stories you open and finish, and your place in each story;
- your Favorites and Read Later lists;
- reading statistics such as stories read, pages turned and reading days;
- your text size, line spacing and theme, and whether you have seen the short in-app tour.
This information never leaves your device and is never sent to us or to anyone else. You can clear your reading history at any time in Profile → Data → Reset statistics, and deleting the app removes everything it saved. If you back up your iPhone to iCloud or a computer, this app data may be included in that backup, as with any app, under Apple's terms.
3Network access
FableGrove does not connect to the internet. Every story and illustration is bundled inside the app, so it works the same on a plane as it does at home.
4Sharing and selling
Because we don't collect personal data, we have nothing to share, rent or sell. We do not share any information with advertisers, data brokers or other third parties.
5Apple and the App Store
When you download FableGrove, Apple handles that transaction under its own Privacy Policy. If you have chosen to share analytics with app developers in your device settings, Apple may give us aggregated, anonymous crash and usage statistics. These do not identify you, and you can turn them off at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.
6Children's privacy
FableGrove is made for readers of all ages, including families reading together. Since the app collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children. The app contains no ads, no in-app purchases and no links that lead out of the app.
7This website
This website does not use cookies, analytics or tracking. Its fonts are served by Google Fonts, so your browser requests them from Google's servers, and Google receives your IP address as part of that request (see Google's Privacy Policy).
About the contact form: the form on our homepage is for display only. It does not send or store anything you type into it. To reach us, please email us directly.
If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply to you, and we don't share them with anyone.
8Security
Your reading journal is kept inside the app's sandbox on your iPhone and is protected by iOS, including your device passcode and data protection. Nothing is stored on our servers, because we don't run any for the app.
9Changes to this policy
If FableGrove ever changes how it handles information, we will update this page and the effective date at the top before the change takes effect.
